Here at the Leadership by Design program, we believe that leadership competencies are best developed with an apprenticeship approach.
So, just like a carpenter, a chef or a printmaker, you’ll have an opportunity to experiment with new techniques and tools ‘in the shop’ before practicing them in the real world. And practice you will!
Prepare to get your hands dirty and your feet wet as you apply leadership theories, tools and techniques to individual and team challenges. You’ll also assemble a toolkit (takeaway resources and strategies) as you go along.
Like any apprentice, you will be challenged to apply your learning within your own organization…and report back to your leadership cohort for feedback and…wild applause!
In fact, as you complete your leadership challenges, you’ll have an opportunity to add digital badges to your leadership portfolio. And who doesn’t like badges?
Whether you’re an emerging leader or a manager with loads of experience, you’ll be challenged to adopt a growth mindset as you develop and hone seven core Leadership Competencies. Perhaps, most importantly, you’ll be joining a diverse local community of leaders for ongoing collaboration, problem-solving and networking events.
